The Grand Slam of Golf Tournament Format

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is a stroke play competition played over 2 days and 36 holes, for a total purse of $1.35 million.
The tournament is contested by the winners of the four Major Championships: the Masters Tournament, the US Open, The Open Championship (often referred to as British Open) and the PGA Championship. In the event that a player wins more than one Major during the year, or declines the invitation to play (as Tiger Woods was forced to do in 2008 due to knee surgery), then the four players are made up by inviting the former Major winner(s) with the best overall finishes in the current year’s Major tournaments.
The prize money for this event does not count towards the PGA Tour Money List.
